Can I reserve space for a late night party at Buddies?

Due to the high attendance on Saturday nights reserving space or having a guest list for a party is not possible. Some arrangements can be made for parties on Friday nights. Contact the Bar Manager at least a week before the event. The Cabaret is available for rental for private events during the week. View rental and space info.

Is Buddies’ a bar, a theatre or what?

Buddies in Bad Times Theatre is a theatre company founded by Sky Gilbert in 1979 and has been at 12 Alexander St. since 1994. We are primarily a theatre dedicated to the production and development of theatrical work, however, we do run a bar on Friday and Saturday nights after 10:30pm to help fund our productions and building operations. All proceeds from the bar go directly to the theatre and our development programmes.

 

Can I volunteer at the bar at Buddies’?

Due to the legal issues involved in the operation of a bar, volunteering for the bar is not possible. You can, however, volunteer in other departments at Buddies’. View volunteer opportunities.
